Behind the steering wheel

Just came to suprising revelation: Driving a car many people just multiply their ignorance and arrogance...

On sunny saturday afternoon I found myself on a coastal road around steep mountain clad long glacier lake. Naturally, traffic going both directions through this narrow and curvy road put a necessity for speed restrictions.

So for the entire sequence of tunnels drivers were asked to keep the speed at 60 km/h. With additional hint for video surveillance. Well, even though I was in hurry for a scheduled event, I did adjust my driving mode as required - because I wanted to reach my destination alive.

In a rear mirror at once I spotted an older BMW comming really close to my heck and keeping the gap minimal. A fierce blinking followed ... consequently constant honking. As we left one section of tunnel, with the support of daily light, I could see only two dark skin men with beard wildly showing me "f* finger" - kind of dismayed I could only go on as of absent side parking lot to pull over to. It did not appeared to me that they have emergency  on board therefore rushing to hospital - even if, there were passages to overcome (with a bit of adrenaline).

Finally, leaving behind the last pillar of tunnel, a line of parking lots overlooking the picturesque panorama of wide open lake with steep walls of snow covered peaks. I motioned my "friend" to follow me and pull over there - to settle his problem. Instead, the dark tanned driver wildly gesticulated with his middle finger and sped off. His fellow, at side seat just tucked into his seat. After two curves I caught up with them as they were again slowed down by a line of vehicles driving at required speed limit. It was just as we left  the town, the road opened and this brave driver on his high performance car, disappeared...

Rewinding the whole event, analyzing my response and possible variations, I came to no other way of handling the other driver impatient behaviour. Cos just attending a first aid course at local red cross station, am pretty aware of hitting a pedestrian or being a part of a severe car crash. So why should I expose myself to a danger by exceeding speed limit?

Fortunatelly, the sunny weather and breathtaking view of surrounding panorama helped me to calm down and concentrate on positive attributes of life ...
