... sleeping in the car - holiday long

for people like me holiday unthinkably means many sport or at least outdoor activities. But most of these activities one enjoy more with some equipment.

Hire, rent or bring your own?

Imagine going on a road trip around some european country - at countryside one can find a rather quiet lake. So you might take a swim or in hot summer day spend little more time paddling around. So first you need to search for boat rentals. Then one will inform you that only motorboats are available. But that`s not the desired experience in that natural scenery. Or what happened to me while discovering country around Malaga in Spain: late in October all the paddle boat rental companies close down because of trottled flow of tourists.

Well, many times I'd like to pay for short term rental, if there is some.

Or as once on Wolfgangsee in Austria I was that taught customers couldn't paddle back as they have been blown away from the boat moor and as untrained they were not able to to paddle back against the wind - so now there are only motor boats or sailing boats for rent...

Which only contribute to my longing for a spacious offroad ready vehicle still compact enough to slip into underground garage when in town :)
